20 YEARS OF INTERFAITH
Religions are about people. They show us in all our wonderful variations and have much to teach us about ourselves, what we value, and how we function. In this talk, Brian draws on his time at Encounter and his university studies to explore what religions have to say about these curious creatures we call humans. We will look at our conceptions and misconceptions of religion but we will go deeper into how religions shed light on how we think, act, and feel. Religions have a lot to say on what it means to be human.
This talk draws on the good fortune of having spent two decades studying religions, visiting mosques, covens, and gurdwaras, and developing relationships with wise rabbis, pandits and priestesses. We will mine this rich journey for its insights and consider some lessons learned along the way.
